Fairchild Reports Second Quarter Results

South Portland, Maine — Fairchild Semiconductor has reported results for the second quarter ended June 27, 2004.
Fairchild reported second quarter sales of $414.3 million, 19 percent higher than the second quarter of 2003 and a 4 percent increase from the prior quarter. The company reported net income in the second quarter of $17.0 million or 14 cents per diluted share, compared to a net loss of $63.8 million or 54 cents per share in the second quarter of 2003 and net income of $13.0 million or 10 cents per diluted share in the prior quarter.
