Philadelphia — Powell Electronics Inc. has been certified by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) as a HUBZone Small Business Concern through the HUBZone Empowerment Contracting Program.
This designation makes Powell eligible to receive additional federal contract opportunities. SBA's HUBZone program, which stands for Historically Underutilized Business Zone, supports the efforts of Congress to promote economic development and employment growth in distressed areas by providing access to more federal contracting opportunities.
