Shipley Electronic and Industrial Finishing Division Achieves ISO 9001:2000 Certification

Freeport, N.Y. — Shipley Co., part of the Rohm and Haas Electronic Materials group, announces that its Freeport, N.Y., Lucerne, Switzerland, and Sasakami, Japan locations have achieved certification against the new ISO-9001: 2000 Quality Management System (QMS) standard.
The certification of these three sites reinforces Shipley's global commitment to continue to ISO certify its major manufacturing facilities. Other sites with ISO-9001:2000 certification operate in China, England, Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan.
ISO-9001: 2000 certification provides Shipley the opportunity to publicly validate that processes are in place to consistently produce products that meet customer needs. Its scope is designed around a structured quality management system focused on customers' requirements as related to new product development, measurement, analysis and improvement.
