Parlex Ships 10 Million Smartcard Circuits in December
January 6, 2004 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
Methuen, Mass. — Parlex Corp. has shipped 10 million smartcard circuits in December as it continues to increase production of this proprietary technology.
Under current contractual demand, Parlex plans to increase production to 25 million per month by June and 40 million per month by year end. Ultimate production is projected to approach 100 million per month.
Parlex uses a proprietary technology based upon its patented PALFlex process. Substituting adhesive-less polyester for more expensive polyimide on this double-sided flexible circuit provides a significant competitive edge.
Parlex Corp. is a world leader in the design and manufacture of flexible interconnect products. For more information, visit www.parlex.com.
