Solectron Executive Vice President to Lead Global Services Unit

Milpitas, Calif. -- Solectron Corp. has named George Moore, an executive vice president of the company, to head its Global Services business unit.
Global Services, which provides an extensive range of after-sales product repair and customer-contact services, generated fiscal 2002 sales of $823 million, or about 7 percent of company-wide sales.
Moore fills the role held by Bill Mitchell, executive vice president, who is resigning to become chief executive officer of Arrow Electronics, a distributor of electronic components and computer products.
