Leading European Automotive Engineering Consultant Extends Its MPM Implementation for Car Design, Engineering and Manufacture

Nashua, N.H. and UK -- Tecnomatix Technologie, Ltd. has broadened its relationship with TWR, the leading European automotive design, engineering and manufacturing consultancy.
TWR has played a key role in the creation of many niche vehicles for clients such as Aston Martin, Jaguar, Renault and Volvo, and has been using Tecnomatix eMPower solutions for about two years. The company is now extending its eMPower MPM implementation to support its manufacturing process lifecycle from process planning through detailed design to execution.
TWR is now adding to their use of Tecnomatix eMPower by implementing such MPM solutions as:
- eM-Planner -- a collaborative environment for planning manufacturing processes
- eM-Assembler -- which facilitates part assembly and disassembly planning processes
- eM-Human -- providing a wide range of 3-D virtual human models that allow accurate simulation of manual tasks, as well as the analysis of ergonomics and assembly time
- eM-Workplace -- integrating detailed layout design and material flow simulation in a single environment
- eM-Reports -- enabling users of any level experience to access and transform manufacturing data into Web-based reports
