David H. Ormerod was appointed director of technical service, Enthone PWB Chemistry for Polycad Technologies, a Cookson Electrönics Co., Londonderry, N.H. Ormerod will be responsible for directing and leading the U.S. technical service organization.
Glenn Jackson joined Motoman Inc., West Carrollton, Ohio, as vice president of the Advanced Systems Group (ASG). Jackson comes to Motoman with more than 25 years of experience in robotics automation and has spent the past 16 years at FANUC Robotics as the general manager of ASG.
ViTechnology LLC, Haverhill, Mass. appointed Larry Sirois as the Americas thermal product manager for its special application ovens and laser rework and repair systems. Sirois will manage technical sales, customer training and support, and product demonstrations and installation of ViTechnology's thermal product line.
Morrisville, N.C.-based Lambda Technologies appointed Joseph Wander manager of advanced product development. Jim Gentry also will be joining the company as an engineering project manager.
Dr. Karl Medinger joined Electronic Materials Inc., Breckenridge, Colo., as a technical director. Medinger comes to EMI with more than 17 years experience in epoxies from Dexter Hysol, acting as the group manager formulating liquid epoxies.

West Warwick, R.I.-based Advanced Interconnections, North American Distributor of the Year Award was presented to Prime Electro Products of Manhattan Beach, Calif. From 1999 to 2000, Prime Electro Products achieved the largest sales increase of any advanced distributor in North America.
Carlsbad, Calif.-based Asymtek and its Chinese distributor Electronic Scientific Engineering opened a demonstration and training center near Shanghai. The new support center joins Asymtek's nine existing worldwide customer application labs, five of which are located throughout Asia.
Taiyo Yuden USA Inc., Schaumburg, Ill., opened two new regional sales offices. The offices will offer comprehensive, local service and support to customers in key regions in the U.S. electronics market. The South Central regional office will be located in Irving, Texas, and the Eastern regional office will be located in Raleigh, N.C.
Omron Electronics LLC, Schaumburg, Ill., announced that its Printed Circuit Board Inspection Group opened a Calif.-based sales office and an associated West coast technical support center. For future growth, Omron will create a new division to help address the needs of end user customers. The TAS Div. will be led by division manager Jim Mooney.
