World Production of PWBs and Flex Circuits Reaches Record Levels in 2000

Japan was the leading producer of rigid PWBs in the global market last year with 27 percent, followed by the United States at 25 percent, Taiwan at 11 percent, China/Hong Kong at 9 percent and South Korea with 5 percent.
NUREMBERG and BRUCHSAL, Germany - Siemens Production and Logistics Systems AG (PL) in Nuremberg, Germany recently reached a milestone with the delivery of its 10,000th Siplace machine. Flextronics, Singapore, bought the Siplace S-25 HM for use in its production works in Shanghai, China. The surge in demand over the past few years contributed strongly to the high number of deliveries for the modular placement platform.
