Selective Soldering and Rework
December 31, 1969 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
The LS-100 is designed for selective soldering and rework of all types of components, from µBGAs to large QFPs and odd-shaped and hybrid devices. It is said to be ideal for soldering and desoldering RF shielding and various paste-in-hole and solder-paste-on-through-hole applications. This semiautomatic off-line rework system reportedly prevents overheating and thermal stress of components, the board and adjacent components, while enabling the programming of precise reflow profiles. It also incorporates user-friendly, menu-driven software for programming of cycle time, temperature, shape, scanning frequency and other parameters.
