Tantalum Chip Capacitors
December 31, 1969 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
The TCM Series of molded chip tantalum capacitors are designed for use in thick-film hybrid circuits. They are also reportedly suitable for direct mounting on PCBs. These chip capacitors are said to offer good resistance to mechanical stress and moisture because of their fully molded construction. The TCR Series offers resistance against rush current. These capacitors are reported to have failure rates of 0.5 percent or less per 1,000 hours, even in low-impedance circuits. Capacitance can be as high as 470 µF in an E Case.
