The X-Scope 6000 is a digital, fully programmable CNC controlled X-ray inspection system that allows operators to program inspection and measurement routines with point-and-click ease. It features a high power 130kV 5 micro closed X-ray tube, 70° camera tilt for oblique extreme angle inspection and 1,000X system magnification. Instead of discrete leads, BGAs rely on solder balls on the underside of the package to connect to the PCB. In some advanced designs, solder balls are on both the PCB and the BGA package. In stacked configurations, such as package-on-package (PoP), these solder balls also interconnect multiple packages, enabling higher functionality in a smaller footprint.
