Nordson ASYMTEK, a Nordson company, a global leader in dispensing, jetting, and coating equipment and technologies, announces that it has been selected as a finalist for the San Diego Business Journal 2015 Manufacturing Award. The Manufacturing Awards honor San Diego County's best manufacturing leaders and companies and celebrates regional excellence. The winner will be announced September 17, 2015 at a special awards program.
Nordson ASYMTEK was nominated for its innovative fluid dispensing and conformal coating systems that are used in the PCB assembly, alternative energy, LED assembly, FPD assembly, electro-mechanical, life science, and semiconductor packaging industries. The products are manufactured in Nordson ASYMTEK's headquarters in Carlsbad, California and are supported by a global service network. The company has also excelled in its commitment and generosity to the community and its role as an environmentally concerned citizen.
"Nordson ASYMTEK continually improves products by ensuring we understand the present and future gaps in the technology needed for our equipment to perform as our customers require, developing or acquiring the technologies that bridge these gaps, and integrating them into our products in a schedule that meets our customers' needs," explained Peter Bierhuis, vice president Nordson ASYMTEK. "We have an interest and commitment to manufacturing locally, as evidenced by the recent lease of a new building adjacent to our headquarters which we felt was necessary to sustain our long-term growth trajectory."
As part of the Nordson Corporation Foundation, Nordson ASYMTEK adheres to the Foundation's philosophy that as a corporate citizen of communities where it does business, it will recognize its social responsibilities by sharing its financial success in ways that improve the quality of life for its employees, their families and its neighbors. Locally, money is donated yearly to nonprofit organizations focused on education, human welfare, arts and culture, and civic engagement, and Nordson ASYMTEK sponsors many other philanthropic endeavors, encouraging and supporting employees who are also involved in giving back to the community.

I originally had compared AI to drag racing in that (CPU) horsepower and new (data) vehicles have steadily delivered higher performance competition.
