Plexus Earns ISO 14001 Certification in Mexico

Plexus Corp., a leading electronics engineering, manufacturing and aftermarket services provider for customers in mid-to-low volume, higher complexity market sectors, today announced that its Manufacturing Solutions facility in Guadalajara, Mexico has achieved ISO 14001 certification.
ISO 14001 is the world’s most recognized framework for environmental management systems. It is widely adopted to assure customers, employees and other stakeholders that the environmental impact of the company is being consistently measured and improved upon.

The nearly 310,000 square foot, state-of-the-art Plexus Guadalajara facility opened in August 2014. The site has also achieved certifications to the ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards.

11/04/2025 | Nolan Johnson -- Column: Nolan's NotesLast year, I attended SMTA Guadalajara, where I saw the results of the Mexican investment in electronics manufacturing. The U.S. was still operating under the Biden administration, and while Mexican EMS companies had expanded capacity to support EV manufacturing, the demand dropped significantly. In my conversations at the show, the sentiment was one of patience. They knew the EV business would likely come back. However, they didn’t expect an overhaul of U.S. trade agreements and tariffs that would shift a more diversified portfolio in Mexico’s direction.
