PCB Shops in Brazil: Are you Kidding Me?
April 6, 2016 | Renato Peres, Circuibras Circuitos Impressos ProfissionaisEstimated reading time: Less than a minute
Let´s face facts: Who would ever think of listening to an opinion about the PCB industry coming from someone in Brazil?
In 2011, when I first came to the U.S. for a training session at an electrical test company, I heard things like, “Brazil is bigger than Texas? WOW!” and “Brazil is almost the same size as the U.S.?” and even this: “Are there cockroaches the size of my hand in Brazil?” People were also very curious about the location of places like Rio de Janeiro and the Amazon rain forest.
It wasn’t any better when I went to a PCB show in Suzhou, China, two years ago. The Chinese people I talked with said they had never heard of Brazil.

04/29/2024 | Dan Beaulieu -- Column: It's Only Common SenseYou've heard the adage, “Nice guys finish last.” This hasn’t proven true for me. In fact, I’ve found it to be the exact opposite. On the other hand, I got stories about not-so-nice guys that have ended disastrously. There was the guy who fired his salesperson because he was in the grocery store buying a turkey on the day before Thanksgiving. This guy fired his salesperson on the spot, and then went on to brag about it. I wonder how that guy’s business is going today.
