Sunstone Circuits Announces New Quality Control Machinery
June 7, 2016 | Business WireEstimated reading time: 1 minute
Sunstone Circuits, the leading printed circuit board (PCB) prototype through production solutions provider, has announced the newest machinery addition to their Quality Control department, the Optek VideoMic VSM. This non-contact 3-axis coordinate measurement system is the latest enhancement to Sunstone’s overall commitment to quality.
With optical magnifications from 25x to 2000x and accuracy tolerances in all 3 dimensions approaching 2.5µm (0.00010”), the new Optek will allow Sunstone to measure and analyze features, mechanical locations, dimensions and depths at a whole new level than previously possible. The ability of this equipment to import Gerber & drill files, and route files directly make this a very efficient tool that can be used in the manufacturing process where these critical dimensions and tolerances are required.
“When traditional methods of measuring critical requirements are too subjective, it is imperative to have the technology capable of certifying this type of accuracy,” said Sunstone’s director of operations, Nancy Viter. “The Optek gives us that assurance.”
The new manufacturing machinery complements a growing suite of PCB solutions from Sunstone which includes new in-house ENIG capabilities, expanded lead times and enhancements for PCBExpress® Quickturn and PCB123®, increased capability and shorter lead times for V-score requirements, bundled assembly, and SMT stencils with or without nano coating, to name a few. With all of these offerings, Sunstone Circuits is continuing to differentiate themselves as the preferred comprehensive PCB solutions provider within the marketplace.
Sunstone Circuits remains committed to providing the best technical support in the printed circuit board industry. Anyone seeking answers or assistance can reach live technical support representatives 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year, via the web, telephone or via online chat.
