Vi TECHNOLOGY is pleased to announce its expanded relationship with MaCon Máquinas y Consumibles. MaCon has been successful with the sales of Vi TECHNOLOGY's AOI systems in Argentina, and is adding the award-winning PI Series to its line card. MaCon is becoming the sole distributor of the complete 3D Solutions in Argentina, including 3D SPI, 3D AOI and Sigma Link.
The PI Series has been recognized by the industry as the most innovative SPI product since the introduction of Moiré systems. Instead of discrete leads, BGAs rely on solder balls on the underside of the package to connect to the PCB. In some advanced designs, solder balls are on both the PCB and the BGA package. In stacked configurations, such as package-on-package (PoP), these solder balls also interconnect multiple packages, enabling higher functionality in a smaller footprint.
