Firstronic's Grand Rapids Facility Achieves ISO 13485:2003 Certification

EMS firm Firstronic's Grand Rapids, Michigan facility is now certified to ISO 13485:2003, effective March 5. Its registrar is Intertek. The company's Juarez, Mexico facility received the same certification in August last year.
"Our medical business continues to grow so we are continuing to enhance the investments we are making to ensure we provide best-in-class systems and processes this mission critical sector," said John Sammut, Firstronic's president and CEO.
"Part of our Lean philosophy is to have common systems and processes throughout our facilities. The enhancements we made during our pursuit of our Juarez facility's ISO13485:2003 certification last year were mirrored in this effort. This commonality also enhances our ability to support customers with dual facility production requirements," said Tony Bellitto, Director of Quality.
