Orbotech Ltd. will focus on its end-to-end AOI, testing and repair solutions for the high volume production of OLED, flex and advanced ultra high definition (UHD), 4K/8K TV panels at Touch Taiwan 2017, September 20-22 in Taipei, Taiwan. Orbotech will be exhibiting in Hall 4F, Booth #N1107 at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Taiwan.
With large screen TVs growing at an annual rate of more than 20%, 4K/8K ultra high definition displays moving more towards the mainstream, and OLED/flex becoming increasingly popular, the demand for effective, high volume, high yield, end-to-end manufacturing solutions for advanced displays is rising. During Touch Taiwan, Orbotech will highlight its field-proven solutions that address these needs. Among the solutions to be presented are Orbotech Quantum AOI (automated optical inspection), Orbotech Quantum TFlex AOI, Array Checker AC6088, AC6118 and AC6068C testing systems, and the Prism repair systems.
“Orbotech is committed to working closely with our Taiwanese customers and to helping them improve both their yields and their time-to-market, by personalizing our solutions and optimizing their production line,” said Ray Tsao, general manager of Orbotech Display Taiwan. "We are proud to participate in Touch Taiwan 2017 and discuss our broad range of advanced display manufacturing solutions with our customers.”
Orbotech FPD production solutions to be presented at Touch Taiwan 2017 include:
Orbotech Quantum AOI series: Orbotech Quantum AOI series is the industry’s first system with Multi-Modality Imaging (MMI) technology, enabling multiple inspections in a single scan for highly accurate defect detection and classification. The Quantum AOI is designed to resolve a wide selection of display manufacturing challenges and is field-proven to boost the yield of high volume LCD, AMOLED and flexible display production.
Orbotech Quantum Flex AOI series: Orbotech Quantum Flex AOI series is a state-of-the-art offline AOI platform for inspecting flexible OLED display panels up to Half-Gen 6 substrates. The Quantum Flex is specifically designed to resolve the unique challenges of OLED and flexible display patterning, encapsulation and lamination processes and boosts yields of even the most advanced display production.
Array Checker: Orbotech’s Array Checker AC6068C testing system rapidly and accurately detects and classifies electrical defects on flat panel displays for small to medium-sized application like smartphones, tablets, smart watches and more. The system, which ensures a low Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), has unmatched detection capabilities combined with high throughput inspection. This makes the AC6068C uniquely suited to meet the growing demand for AMOLED and flexible displays.
Orbotech’s Array Checker AC6088/AC6118 are leading testing solutions for 4K and 8K televisions. With automated testing and mapping of defects and high resolution voltage mapping of the entire display, the AC6088 and AC6118 deliver accurate detection and classification of electrical defects in large and jumbo sized panels.
Prism: Orbotech’s Prism is an advanced repair solution that improves both yield and throughput in mass production of flat panel displays (FPDs). It locates and repairs metal defects and re-patterns p-Si and photo resist in high volume production. Specifically designed to meet high-end requirements with its advanced laser, field-proven re-patterning technology and software capabilities, the system is designed to address the complexities of the most advanced display technologies, including TFT/AMOLED, LTPS/Oxide and flexible displays.
About Orbotech Ltd.
Orbotech Ltd. is a leading global supplier of yield-enhancing and process-enabling solutions for the manufacture of electronics products. Orbotech provides cutting-edge solutions for use in the manufacture of printed circuit boards (PCBs), flat panel displays (FPDs), and semiconductor devices (SDs), designed to enable the production of innovative, next-generation electronic products and improve the cost effectiveness of existing and future electronics production processes. Orbotech’s core business lies in enabling electronic device manufacturers to inspect and understand PCBs and FPDs and to verify their quality (‘reading’); pattern the desired electronic circuitry on the relevant substrate and perform three-dimensional shaping of metalized circuits on multiple surfaces (‘writing’); and utilize advanced vacuum deposition and etching processes in SD and semiconductor manufacturing (‘connecting’). Orbotech refers to this ‘reading’, ‘writing’ and ‘connecting’ as enabling the ‘Language of Electronics’. For more information, click here.
