Insulectro Inks Deal to Distribute Dupont Electronic Inks for In-Mold Applications
September 20, 2017 | InsulectroEstimated reading time: 1 minute
Insulectro is entering into a deal to distribute DuPont conductive inks for in-mold electronics (IME).
“Insulectro is pleased to announce the addition of DuPont inks used in in-mold to our printed electronics portfolio,” commented Kevin Miller, Vice President of Sales for Insulectro Printed Electronics. “We have been distributing various DuPont conductive inks and pastes for the past several years, and DuPont’s in-mold electronic technology greatly enhances our offerings.
“It’s a perfect union of form and function. The technology combines an innovative, more stretchable material with dramatic advancements in electronic ink to give interface designers new creative freedom, without any compromise in meeting functional switching needs,” Miller continued, “and because these new electronic inks work with existing in-mold decorative processes, there’s no need for costly re-tooling. Fabricators can create products with greater eye appeal, simplicity, and performance—all at the same time.”
In-mold applications which can take on virtually any three-dimensional shape are frequently found in control panels for appliances, automotive, aerospace, and consumer electronics.
“DuPont In-mold Electronic Technology is a strong addition to our printed electronics product line-up from our long time, world-class supplier,” Miller concluded, “Insulectro Printed Electronics is a one-stop distributor for all PE needs – substrates, ink, and consumables. With 10 stocking location across the United States, we are near not far from wherever you are.”
