YXLON Launches New X-ray Inspection Systems at productronica

At this year’s productronica exhibition in Munich, YXLON International is launching its new X-ray inspection systems series Cheetah EVO and Cougar EVO. As technology advances at an ever-increasing rate, YXLON has acknowledged that a “one size fits all” X-ray system in advanced electronics no longer delivers the best solution to the customer. So Yxlon now has custom-built systems for SMT, semiconductor, and laboratory applications perfected for the specific challenges and needs of the respective sectors. Keith Bryant, Global Director Electronics Sales at YXLON, states: “There is no need for customers to compromise anymore.”
At a pre-show event on Monday afternoon, the experts from Yxlon presented the new features and advantages of this new concept to selected guests from the press and industry. At 9:45 today, the opening day of the productronica trade fair in Munich, YXLON is presenting the systems live to the public in booth A2/405.
The Cheetah EVO SMT offers users in the assembly industry accurate, fast, and repeatable inspection - both manually and automatically; high power, high resolution inspection of very small features, as well as easy to use, dynamic image enhancing filters like eHDR.
The Cheetah EVO Semi addresses the needs of semiconductor producers by providing accurate and repeatable void measurements and automated multi area void calculations, excellent resolution at low power and low kV, automated inspection routines, and quick ‘on the fly’ inspections.
The Cheetah EVO Plus is perfect for laboratory work. With microCT coming as standard in this system, users get the ultimate quality resolution for failure analysis, high-performance CT inspection, and highest industry CT reconstructions with VGStudio and CERA Software.
The Cougar EVO SMT, Cougar EVO Semi, and Cougar EVO Plus systems aim to make the above benefits possible for all companies. With their small system footprints, they are an affordable and space-saving choice for those with full factory floors.
About YXLON
YXLON International designs and produces radioscopic and CT inspection systems for the widest variety of applications and fields. Whether situated in the aviation & aerospace, automotive or electronics industry, our customers are among the largest producers, major enterprises that place their confidence in our quality worldwide.
The name YXLON stands for assurance and quality for all types of cast parts, tires, electronic components, turbine blades, welded joints and a lot more. Our product portfolio includes X-ray systems for installation in radiological inspection envelopes, universal X-ray inspection systems on the basis of fully shielded devices, as well as solutions specific to a customer. Whether in manual, semi or fully automated operation, our inspection systems are ideal for deployment in research & development and can be integrated into any production process.
With our FeinFocus product line we offer microfocus systems for detailed insights into even finer structures. If semiconductor packaging, BGA soldering joints on printed circuit boards, sensors or relays – with 2D or 3D inspection missing or damaged bonding wires, flawed soldering joints or splices as well as other manufacturing defects can be detected and their position and size defined according to requirements.
With our headquarters in Hamburg, sales and service locations in Tokyo, Osaka, Hudson (Ohio), San Jose (California), Beijing, Shanghai, Hattingen and Heilbronn, as well as a network of representatives in over 50 countries, as YXLON we’re local for our customers all over the world.
