The real cost to manufacture a PCB encompasses everything that goes into making the product: the materials and other value-added supplies, machine and personnel costs, and most importantly, your quality. A hard look at real costs seems wholly appropriate.
Alternate Metallization Processes
Traditional electroless copper and electroless copper immersion gold have been primary PCB plating methods for decades. But alternative plating metals and processes have been introduced over the past few years as miniaturization and advanced packaging continue to develop.

Cicor’s 14% Sales Growth in 2017 Exceeds Expectation
January 15, 2018 | CicorEstimated reading time: 1 minute
Cicor has announced that preliminary figures for order intake and for sales in 2017 indicate very satisfactory growth.
Preliminary, unaudited figures for record levels of new orders amounting to around CHF 233 million for 2017 indicate not only a further improvement over the very high order intake of the previous year (2016: CHF 223.5 million) but also a very healthy book-to-bill ratio of 1.08.
According to these provisional figures, sales for 2017 stand at around CHF 216 million, an increase of around 14% (unverified) over the previous year (2016: CHF 189.5 million). The AMS Division stands out with growth at over 20% in 2017.
On the basis of the provisional sales figures, the management at Cicor is optimistic that its results forecast for 2017, i.e. achieving an operative margin which ties to the good results of 2013 and 2014, will be reached or even exceeded.
Cicor will publish its final financial figures for 2017 on 8 March 2018.
