IMI, Inc. has received the AS 9100D/ISO-9001:2015 registration for its Haverhill, Massachusetts facility. AS9100 is an internationally recognized aerospace industry standard for quality assurance in design, development, production, and service. The AS9100D certification is an extension of the more familiar ISO9001:2015 with enhanced requirements targeted to this market segment's specific demands. IMI has been AS9100 registered since 2008 and ISO registered since 1995.
Introduced in the U.S. by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and recognized internationally, Aerospace's AS9100 standardizes, to the maximum extent possible, the quality system requirements of the industry. Standardization of such requirements can result in overall cost savings along with improved quality systems.
"Attaining AS9100D certification at our facility is the result of our ongoing commitment to meet the critical needs of the defense, military and aerospace customers whether for traditional FR-4 based materials or more complex RF/Microwave applications fabricated on PTFE materials." stated Peter Bigelow, President and CEO of IMI, Inc. "We are very proud that our company has achieved AS9100D/ISO-9001:2015 registration and combined with our existing MIL 31032 certification is a reflection of commitment to the aerospace, RF/microwave and military markets.”
