Amphenol Invotec Awarded Cyber Security Certification

As concerns about cyber security continue to increase, Amphenol Invotec, one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of advanced printed circuit boards, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the Cyber Essentials Plus certification.
Cyber Essentials is a Government-backed, industry-supported scheme designed to help organisations protect themselves against primary online threats. Given the the nature of its products and the market sectors in which Amphenol Invotec operates, including aerospace & defence, space and communications, this certification represents an important marker of the company’s trustworthiness in terms of e-security. Indeed, the UK Government requires all suppliers bidding for contracts involving the handling of certain sensitive and personal information to be certified against the Cyber Essentials scheme.
In order to gain the additional Plus certification, Amphenol Invotec’s application had to be verified by an independent expert, in this case from Hedgehog Security Ltd.
Tim Tatton, Amphenol Invotec’s general manager, commented: “At a time of mounting concern about cyber security, this certification will undoubtedly help us to reassure our existing and potential customers that we take the issue very seriously.”
