Unitech Enhancing Automotive PCB Offering
November 26, 2018 | DigitimesEstimated reading time: Less than a minute
Taiwan-based Unitech Printed Circuit Board will further enhance its high-end PCB offering for automotive electronics, and expects the effort to make a positive contribution to the company's profitability in 2019, according to a Digitimes report.
Unitech is optimistic about demand coming from the auto electronics sector, but is aware of a substantial slowdown in demand for smartphones, said the PCB maker. Sales of the company's auto PCBs will be driving the company's future revenue growth, Digitimes adds. Sales generated from orders for auto electronics applications account for 32% of Unitech's total revenues, following those for smartphones and other smart devices with 46%. Sales of Unitech's rigid-flex PCBs and HDI boards account for 35% and 32%, respectively, of the company's overall revenues.
