PCB Firm Apex to See Robust Automotive PCB Shipments in 1Q19

PCB maker Apex International is expected to enjoy a strong first quarter of 2019, thanks to robust shipments of its automotive boards, according to Digitimes. The company expects revenue ratio for automotive boards, mainly instrument panels, to account for 15% of its annual revenues for 2019.
After one year of effort in improving production for automotive-use PCBs, the company has managed to achieve a high yield rate of 95%, Digitimes reports. In addition, it has decided to spend NT$3.4 billion ($110.23 million) setting up new production lines at its No. 2 plant in Thailand, exclusively for the production of automotive boards.
