PCB Maker Apex Reports Over 900% Jump in 2018 Net Profit

Printed circuit board (PCB) maker Apex International saw its net profits jump over 900% on year to NT$833 million ($27 million) in 2018, according to Digitimes. The company attributes its positive performance in 2018 to improvement in the company's production efficiency and product mix.
Apex generated net profits of less than NT$100 million in 2017, when the PCB firm was hit by rising raw materials costs coupled with price cuts demanded by its downstream clients. Apex's consolidated revenues grew by 7.5% to NT$11.18 billion in 2018, with gross margin climbing to 16%.
