Automotive PCB maker Chin-Poon Industrial has reported decreased revenues and earnings for 2018 due to production losses resulting from a fire that broke out at its production line in Taoyuan, Taiwan in the first half of the year that killed seven people and damaged its production facilities, according to Digitimes.
The company disclosed that its net profits fell 89% on year to NT$162 million ($5.3 million) in 2018. Revenues were down by 14.7% on year to NT$20.174 billion as about 15% of its production capacity was damaged by the fire. Gross margin for 2018 stood at 10.29%, down 3.63pp from a year earlier.
