PCB Supply Chain Moves to Counter Weakening Huawei Handset Shipments

As Huawei's handset shipments are expected to fall significantly on US trade ban, Taiwan PCB makers have moved to carry out risk diversification deployments by enhancing shipments to other handset brand vendors or developing diverse applications for their products, Digitimes reports.
Huawei has reportedly prepared to adjust downward its handset shipments for overseas markets by 40-60% in the second half of 2019, while making all-out efforts to develop sales in China.
Among Taiwan's PCB makers, Compeq Manufacturing has performed well diversifying shipments to multiple brand vendors. Besides Huawei, the company also delivers shipments of handset-use PCBs to Apple, Oppo and Vivo, and even maintains business ties with the supply chain of Samsung Electronics.
