Kontron has received the 2019 5-Star Supplier Excellence Award Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems (IDS). Award recipients are judged based on a variety of performance criteria including overall quality, on-time delivery, demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and success in meeting safety standards. Kontron's accomplishments in meeting the set criteria earned the company the 5-Star Award, which is the highest level of recognition a Raytheon IDS business supplier can achieve.
Kontron supplies a broad range of military computing hardware solutions including application-ready COTS boards and platforms and rugged enclosures to Raytheon IDS. Kontron has a proven history of meeting harsh environment reliability and SWAP-C requirements with scalable, long-life COTS platforms that help speed deployments while addressing budget limitations.
"It is an honor to be one of only 16 suppliers selected for the distinguished 5-Star Award that recognizes Kontron’s continued excellence as a supplier partner," said Andy Mason, General Manager R&D/Operations at Kontron. "We greatly value the strong, strategic relationship we have built with Raytheon, and I congratulate our deserving team for maintaining service, quality and on-time delivery at the highest levels. Working together to maintain this high standard is an important component that contributes to our mutual success in meeting the technology needs of the defense industry."
Raytheon's Integrated Defense Systems business instituted the annual Supplier Excellence Awards program to recognize suppliers who have provided outstanding service and partnership in exceeding customer requirements over the previous year. At the 2019 Supplier Excellence Conference held in Boston, MA, on May 21, 2019, Raytheon IDS recognized companies from around the globe with 3-, 4- and 5-star awards, based on their level of success in meeting measured criteria.
