HDI PCB orders for automotive applications have picked up recently, and major makers Tripod Technology and Chin Poon Industrial are moving to increase their production ratio for such HDI boards with higher prices and gross margin to meet the growing demand in the 5G era.
The mounting orders for auto-use HDI boards have indicated sales turnaround for high-end cars, and shipments of such boards for use in ADAS systems, in-vehicle entertainment systems, and power control systems will ramp up steadily along with the commercialization of 5G services in 2020.
