PCB manufacturer Wus Printed Circuit saw its net profits shoot up over 100% on year in the first half of 2019, thanks mainly to sharp increases in PCB demand for networking equipment.
The China-based maker has reported revenues of CNY3.122 billion ($436.71 million) for the first half of 2019, soaring 26.72% on year, with its net earnings skyrocketing 143.4% from a year earlier to CNY478 million. Revenues from domestic and overseas markets reached 45% and 55%, respectively. Wus attributed the sharp revenue and profit increases mainly to strong shipments of PCBs for networking applications, which contributed over 70% of its first-half-2019 revenues and showed an on-year revenue growth of 36.58% in the period, with gross margin rate rising by 9.74pp. Besides, shipments for industry control applications, commanding a revenue ratio of only 6.5%, also surged 35.92% on year.
