Rigid-flex Boards Shipments for AirPods to Stay Robust
September 2, 2019 | DigitimesEstimated reading time: Less than a minute
Despite the US tariffs on China-sourced wearable devices taking effect September 1, Taiwanese PCB makers are expected to see their shipments of rigid-flex boards for AirPods remain strong through the end of 2019 on brisk demand for such earphones. AirPods have gradually become a standard accessory for iPhone users, showing stronger sales growth momentum than Apple Watch, sources said, adding that relatively lower prices and increasingly strong usage need will further push up AirPods shipments.
