East/West Manufacturing Enterprises, one of the industry’s leading full service EMS companies, today announced they have joined CleanTX, an Austin-based organization that supports the clean tech industry.
CleanTX is an economic development and professional association for clean technology. The mission of CleanTX is to accelerate the growth of the clean tech industry in Texas through information exchange, thought leadership, and strategic partnerships. Founded in 2006, CleanTX is the nonprofit economic development and professional association for clean tech in Central Texas, a $2.5 Billion industry that employs 20,000 individuals. The CleanTX community encompasses over 250 companies and an active ecosystem of entrepreneurs, nonprofits, and regional partners.
"CleanTX is very excited to kick off a partnership with East/West Manufacturing,” commented Ryan Edwards, Board Chair at CleanTX. “They are a forward-thinking, US-based manufacturer that understands how to simplify and scale supply chains, and their addition to the CleanTX ecosystem demonstrates their commitment to improving business operations that contribute to a greener future. Additionally, as a Silver Member they will have the opportunity to discuss services and industry updates at one of our Power Hours in the coming months with engaged community stakeholders and potential business partners that creates a win-win for the Austin clean tech community. We are greatly looking forward to a mutually beneficial and long-term relationship."
“East/West Manufacturing Enterprises is very supportive of all efforts leading to a more sustainable future,” added Andy Salo, President of EWME. “CleanTX is a great fit for us to partner with, as they facilitate innovation through networking, education, and economic development initiatives. East/West already provides manufacturing services for our OEM customers including battery technology and electrification companies, and we look forward to working with the CleanTX community to make new partnerships to help promote clean tech in Texas.

Marcy’s Musings: The Relentless Pursuit of Perfection
05/16/2025 | Marcy LaRont -- Column: Marcy's MusingsFew things in this world are or will ever be perfect. For me, perfection might look like the vivid colors that only Mother Nature can create, the birth of a child, and the inner workings of the human brain. But all else in this physical, tangible world is, in one way or another, inherently flawed. Even the “flawless” diamond is more about the sheer awe and beauty of beholding near-perfection than perfection itself. In many ways, this truth provides great texture and diversity to our world. Yet, we still strive for perfection, and it’s in this that we learn and achieve higher heights than we otherwise would have.
