MicroCare to Exhibit Cleaning Solutions at SMTA Guadalajara
September 26, 2019 | MicroCare CorporationEstimated reading time: 2 minutes
MicroCare Corporation, a leading global manufacturer of critical cleaning, coating and lubrication products, will present its line of products when the cleaning experts exhibit at SMTA Guadalajara on October 23-24, 2019.
Taking center stage is Tergo High Performance Flux Remover. As a non-flammable, low global warming cleaning fluid, it has been specifically engineered for high volume production cleaning of printed circuit boards in vapor degreasing systems.
It features a non-volatile additive specifically designed to clean difficult to remove no-clean solder pastes and stubborn white flux residue. It also works well to clean water-soluble (OA) fluxes and lead-free materials. Because of its unique formulation, companies can clean flux from PCBs faster, more effectively and at a lower cost while meeting increasingly strict environmental regulations.
Tergo High Performance Flux Remover can be used as a direct replacement for many older vapor degreasing chemistries like nPB and TCE that are being phased-out under environmental, health, or safety pressures.
“Vapor degreasing is significantly less energy-intensive than aqueous cleaning and therefore more environmentally friendly. It is also generally faster and gentler on delicate circuitry; cleaning small complex shapes far better than water-based systems,” said Ernesto Pollano, MicroCare Regional Sales Manager for Mexico.
“When used together with highly advanced cleaning fluids like Tergo High Performance Flux Remover, vapor degreasing is a very effective method to clean PCBs.”
In addition to the vapor degreasing fluids, MicroCare will showcase their extensive line of aerosol flux removers for use on the benchtop. The milder, fast-drying No-Clean Flux Remover - VeriClean is ideal at removing no-clean fluxes from printed circuit board assemblies while the very strong, non-flammable Lead-Free Flux Remover PowerClean successfully removes white residue found with lead-free fluxes.
Working in combination with all MicroCare aerosol flux removers is the TriggerGrip Dispensing Tool. Using the Trigger Grip saves money by reducing solvent usage by 66% and ensuring the can empties completely. It also enhances worker safety by limiting exposure to the cleaning fluid fumes.
To find out more about the extensive MicroCare range of critical cleaning, coating and lubrication products, visit booth 525 at SMTA Guadalajara on October 23-24, 2019.

Knocking Down the Bone Pile: Gold Mitigation for Class 2 Electronics
05/07/2025 | Nash Bell -- Column: Knocking Down the Bone PileIn electronic assemblies, the integrity of connections between components is paramount for ensuring reliability and performance. Gold embrittlement and dissolution are two critical phenomena that can compromise this integrity. Gold embrittlement occurs when gold diffuses into solder joints or alloys, resulting in mechanical brittleness and an increased susceptibility to cracking. Conversely, gold dissolution involves the melting away of gold into solder or metal matrices, potentially altering the electrical and mechanical properties of the joint.
