The Autonomous Pod Transport (APT) 70 conducted envelope expansion with a 60 lb payload in tow with plans to expand to 70 lbs, the maximum payload for the vehicle.
The demonstration was in response to PMA-263 Tactical Resupply Unmanned Aircraft Systems (TRUAS) Challenge. The challenge will be hosted in Yuma, Arizona early next year.
“We’re continuously evaluating how we can provide our military customers with the aircraft they need to execute their missions, and we believe APT is the answer,” said Todd Worden, Manager Advanced UAS Sales and Strategy. “This family of vehicles offers unique goods transportation capabilities, and we are excited to showcase the vehicle’s progress in upcoming demonstrations and for the Marine Corps Unmanned Logistics System-Air mission.”
