Arlon EMD Launches New Website
July 30, 2020 | Arlon EMDEstimated reading time: 1 minute

Arlon EMD, a specialty electronics material manufacturer based out of Rancho Cucamonga, California, announced the launch of its new website.
“This site, www.arlonemd.com, was created to make it simpler for designers and engineers to have access to information about Arlon EMD. Our new site was set up to be compatible with Android and Apple hand-held devices to allow for quick references and on-the-go searches into Arlon’s product offerings and solutions for design and fabrication challenges," stated Deanna Bustamante, customer service and marketing manager for Arlon.
In addition to mobile and desktop access, the updated website allows customers to do searches by product name, IPC slash sheet, market segment and application. Along with product information, the site allows for easy navigation to additional resources to assist designers and fabrication engineers in such areas as product data sheets, application notes and process guides. The multiple cross-links available on the site enable a customer to research a product, the product data sheet, IPC slash sheet, market segment for use, applications of the product and guidelines for using the product; along with getting technical sales assistance for the product and receiving a price quotation on the product. All this can be done in one continuous search with Arlon’s enhanced website search engine.
“Our idea is that in the proto-type, quick-turn market of specialty materials, designers and fabrication engineers must react quickly to their customers’ needs. Arlon’s website is set up so that with a single search, designers and fabricator engineers can get all the information they need to start or complete a job without an extensive multi-website search or needing to make numerous phone calls,” commented Dave Nelson, Arlon’s director of business development. “One click into Arlon’s website and all the information for material selection and fabrication is available, along with a price quotation. It is a streamlined process.”
Arlon EMD is a US manufacturer and distributor of specialty materials. Arlon has supplied materials for the N. American, UK and European markets for more than 25 years from their manufacturing location in Rancho Cucamonga, California.

The Knowledge Base: A Conference for Cleaning and Coating of Mission-critical Electronics
07/08/2025 | Mike Konrad -- Column: The Knowledge BaseIn electronics manufacturing, there’s a dangerous misconception that cleaning and coating are standalone options, that they operate in different lanes, and that one can compensate for the other. Let’s clear that up now. Cleaning and conformal coating are not separate decisions. They are two chapters in the same story—the story of reliability.
