Taiyo America Mourns Loss of Preston Averette, Founder of Photo Chemical
September 30, 2020 | I-Connect007 Editorial TeamEstimated reading time: 1 minute

The Taiyo America family is saddened by the loss of a very special man and colleague, Preston Gray Averette. The epitome of a gracious and kind Southern gentleman, Preston’s soft-spoken persona and integrity in decades of dealings with Taiyo will be missed and remembered fondly.
Preston was a founder and owner of Photo Chemical Systems, where he worked for 48 years. It was founded in 1972 in Atlanta, Georgia to serve the printed circuit and screen printing industries with capital equipment, chemicals and supplies. Photo Chemical partners with several large companies, including Taiyo America.
Outside of his profession, Preston was a lifelong member of Rolesville Baptist Church where he served as a chairman for the deacons and as a deacon, among other roles. His family described him this way: “Most importantly, he was a servant to God who led, mentored, and inspired through his strong Christian beliefs in every aspect of his life.” They also wrote, “There are not enough words to describe this amazing man who touched, motivated, and empowered all that knew him.”
Preston, 71, passed away on Sept. 10, 2020. A funeral service took place Sept. 13 in Rolesville, N.C. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Lynn; two sons, and four grandchildren.
