International Electronic Components Inc (IEC), and atg Luther & Maelzer are pleased to announce the growth of their supplier relationship. IEC has been representing ATG, distributing high-speed, precision PCB test systems, for over 10 years. The partners have been working together over the last year to broaden their scope in order to continue bringing exemplary collaboration, supported by state-of-the-art test equipment, to the printed circuit board industry. Previously, IEC enjoyed distributorship of atg Luther & Maelzer in Canada and in the United States (Washington, Oregon, Northern California & Arizona). A territory transition was completed as of January 1st, 2021 and now includes all North Eastern, Mid-Atlantic & South Eastern States as well as a large portion of the Mid-West. This was the signal for a frantic but regularly rehearsed exercise to turn on all the rinses. This anecdote demonstrates that in the early days of PCB production, prevailing practices revolved around a “dilution is the solution” mentality, in which manufacturers used copious amounts of water to dilute contaminants before discharging them into regulated municipal wastewater systems or natural water bodies.
