Würth Elektronik Brand Relaunch is WINNER of the German Brand Award
December 22, 2023 | Wurth ElectronicsEstimated reading time: 1 minute
The Würth Elektronik Group, based in the state of Baden-Württemberg, and DIE NECKARPRINZEN – the supporting communications and design agency from Heilbronn – are delighted about the successful brand relaunch. The umbrella brand relaunch has now received external affirmation with several awards, including this year's coveted WINNER of the German Brand Award.
The award was in the category 'Excellent Brands Industry, Machines & Engineering’. The team won the SPECIAL accolade in the German Brand Award category ‘Corporate Brand of the Year’.
As soon as the project was concluded in 2022, the work was honored with several specialist awards.
The relaunch of the image mark and corporate design illustrates how the electronics specialists, part of the Würth Group, have responded to enhanced functional requirements, for example by advancing digitalization and miniaturization. Würth Elektronik was also moved to update and optimize the brand image by its desire to strengthen the umbrella brand and to align it with user interests as far as possible.
The new trademark itself was intended to reflect the development and expansion of the entire group of companies by playing down the original symbolism.
Jörg Murawski, Executive Vice President of the Würth Group: “I worked on the very first Würth Elektronik Group logo. With our relaunch, we stay true to our philosophy of pursuing pioneering strategies while combining customer proximity with quality and visionary thinking as well as strong corporate culture. Our adapted brand presence contains many of these aspirations.”
Thomas Schrott, Executive Vice President of the Würth Group: “I see the new image as a strong statement from a strong brand. The awards honor the successful unity of brand identity and excellent communication design.”

It’s Only Common Sense: No One Is Buying Because Your Brand Is Boring
01/12/2026 | Dan Beaulieu -- Column: It's Only Common SenseYour brand isn’t struggling because of its pricing, website, or competitors. It’s struggling because it’s boring. You’ve blended into the beige background of your industry. You’re safe, polite, professional, and invisible. Committees terrified of offending anyone design most marketing today. The result? Vanilla messages that don’t inspire or excite, and that sell nothing. You can almost hear the fear in the slogans: “committed to excellence,” “partnering for success,” “quality you can trust.”

The Marketing Minute: New Year, New Marketing Momentum
12/17/2025 | Brittany Martin -- Column: The Marketing MinuteEvery January, we all make the same promises: "This is the year I get in gear. This is the year I move more. This is the year I stop coasting and start doing things with intention." Well, here’s a thought: If you’re putting energy into a “new you,” your marketing could use the same treatment.
The Knowledge Base: Cultivating Your Brand in the Age of Connection
08/19/2025 | Mike Konrad -- Column: The Knowledge BaseAudiences have evolved in how they consume information, form opinions, and make purchasing decisions. While marketing still relies on tried-and-true methods—get your name and message in front of your audience—you must also cultivate connection, credibility, and community. Your customers, particularly the younger generation of engineers, buyers, and program managers, want to discover value on their terms.
Nolan’s Notes: The Interconnectedness of a Global Supply Chain
08/04/2025 | Nolan Johnson -- Column: Nolan's NotesYou may recall when I’ve discussed the research and development of a particular magazine issue topic and how, at times, I’ve pivoted at the last minute because of what I learned from the information I’ve gathered. This month, my original focus was on cultivating your brand, but the more I investigated the topic, the more my subject experts leaned toward international supply chain strategies. Not surprisingly, these two disparate topics are far more interrelated than they might seem.
