Viasat, Inc., a global leader in satellite communications, announced SnapGIS, which provides advanced IoT monitoring, has joined its ELEVATE program.
ELEVATE is a growth program, ecosystem and marketplace for ambitious IoT solution providers, connectivity wholesalers, enablers and OEMs who want to work with Viasat to use its network and footprint at scale. As an ELEVATE partner, SnapGIS will enable other ELEVATE partners using Viasat’s global L-band network to provide cutting edge, Internet of Things (IoT) software. This aims to enable enhanced oversight, safety, and efficiency.
Access to Viasat’s ELEVATE partner network means SnapGIS can aim to help other ELEVATE partners and their customers to navigate the complexity of monitoring remote and critical operations by providing an IoT asset management platform. This simplifies vast data streams from various assets into coherent, actionable intelligence that enhances operational oversight and efficiency.
SnapGIS was formed by a team of Dubai-based engineers, bringing together decades of experience in the IoT market. It set out to streamline a fragmented industry where businesses were often burdened with outdated, single-use systems that proved costly and inefficient. The company has developed a software platform which enables diverse IoT asset management from a single application.
From trucks to vessels, heavy equipment to pipelines and wellheads, SnapGIS provides businesses with a common operational view, enabling enhanced oversight, safety, and efficiency. By leveraging data from sensors and peripherals, the solution delivers in-depth analytics, helping customers unlock efficiency gains and reduce operational costs.
As part of the program, SnapGIS will also gain access to Viasat’s broader partner network, creating opportunities to collaborate on additional niche communications solutions for its customers.
Simon Hawkins, Vice President, Enterprise Commercial & Innovation at Viasat said "ELEVATE is the go-to destination for satellite IoT innovation. It’s designed as a one-stop-shop that helps our partners easily leverage our connectivity and work with each other to help major industries tackle operational challenges.
“Working with companies like SnapGIS helps us push the boundaries of innovation further and means more groundbreaking solutions at speed, backed by our highly reliable L-band network.”
Kyle Pallo, Managing Director, SnapGIS, said “We’re excited to join the ELEVATE program and partner with Viasat to expand the possibilities of IoT, bringing modern, cutting-edge solutions to new and interesting areas. We aim to redefine what has previously been possible with low-bandwidth satellite connectivity and bring a new world of insights and analytics to our customers.”
Viasat’s ELEVATE program is open to new entrants, disruptors and established brands of any size who have developed an innovative digital product or service and want to access the power of satellite enabled IoT solutions. Viasat provides dedicated technical guidance on how to integrate and support its highly reliable satellite services, go-to-market strategy planning and exposure to its distribution channel to enable access to new markets.
Providers working across a diverse range of industries, including, but not limited to, agriculture, aid and NGOs, energy, exploration and leisure, media, mining, transport and utilities, as well as agnostic technology providers, will be considered for membership.
