Current IssueInner Layer Precision & Yields
In this issue, we examine the critical nature of building precisions into your inner layers and assessing their pass/fail status as early as possible. Whether it’s using automation to cut down on handling issues, identifying defects earlier, or replacing an old line...
Engineering Economics
The real cost to manufacture a PCB encompasses everything that goes into making the product: the materials and other value-added supplies, machine and personnel costs, and most importantly, your quality. A hard look at real costs seems wholly appropriate.
Alternate Metallization Processes
Traditional electroless copper and electroless copper immersion gold have been primary PCB plating methods for decades. But alternative plating metals and processes have been introduced over the past few years as miniaturization and advanced packaging continue to develop.

Construction of the AT&S Parking House Starts on March 11
January 26, 2024 | AT&SEstimated reading time: 1 minute
The plans for the new AT&S multi-storey parking house in Leoben Hinterberg were presented at the end of 2022 and are now being implemented. With the official start of construction on March 11, 2024, the parking house will be built on the Eastern part of the HTB company premises. The first construction phase will provide 791 parking spaces and will not yet include the top floor and PV system. With the further growth of the site and increase in personnel, the full expansion to eight parking levels will provide almost 1000 spaces for cars. Special parking spaces for electric cars will also be created. Completion is planned for the end of February 2025.
In addition, full parking spaces for employees are currently being created in the southern part of the AT&S site by dismantling the construction containers. Here, up to 300 additional cars can be parked.
Current lease solution extended
The areas for the interim parking spaces opposite the Hornbach market can continue to be leased until the parking house is completed. As always announced and promised by AT&S, these parking spaces will be removed after the multi-storey parking house goes into operation in 2025 and the areas will be landscaped again.
“All in all, this will be a great and satisfactory solution for the future for all employees in Hinterberg,” says Markus Sterba, Site Manager for AT&S Hinterberg. He thanks everyone for their patience during the interim and construction phase. “With this solution, the site is well positioned for further development.”
