Taiflex Scientific Co., Ltd., a global leader in advanced flexible printed circuit (FPC) materials, held the grand opening ceremony of its Thailand factory at the Amata City Chonburi Industrial Estate in Chonburi, Thailand. The event was presided over by Mr. Sun Ta-Wen, Chairman of Taiflex, Mr. Jiang Tzong-Hann, CEO, and Ms. Liu Ling Chun, General Manager of the Taiflex Scientific (Thailand) Co., Ltd. The ceremony was attended by representatives from key governmental agencies including the Board of Investment (BOI) and the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT), as well as dignitaries from Amata Group (AMATA), the Thai Business Association, and local business communities. In addition, important clients, suppliers, and partners gathered to express their enthusiastic support, creating an atmosphere of warmth and celebration.
Since establishing its base in the Amata City Chonburi Industrial Estate in Thailand in 2022, Taiflex has embarked on comprehensive operational planning, including factory construction, talent recruitment and training, and production planning. With an area of nearly 42,000 square meters, the Thailand factory is a crucial operational base for Taiflex in Southeast Asia. Upon its full completion, it is expected to increase the group's production capacity by 50%. The phase 1 factory and office building were completed by the end of 2023, and production trials commenced smoothly. The overall production line tuning has been successful, with formal production readiness achieved in the first quarter of 2024, contributing to the group's capacity.
In recent years, the global economic landscape has undergone significant changes, necessitating accelerated supply chain restructuring to enhance resilience. In response to these challenges, the opening and operation of Taiflex Thailand factory inject new momentum into its global footprint. At present, the world's top three flexible printed circuit material manufacturers have either established factories in Southeast Asia or are in the process of doing so. It is believed that Taiflex Thailand factory will further enhance the overall flexible printed circuit material supply chain in Southeast Asia. Additionally, Thailand, as a key automotive production hub in Southeast Asia, boasts a complete industrial ecosystem. As the only flexible printed circuit material supplier with a factory in Thailand and possessing a comprehensive track record of automotive material mass production and quality certification systems, Taiflex is expected to play a significant role in the Thai automotive supply chain, providing timely and comprehensive products and services.
The opening of Taiflex Scientific (Thailand) Co., Ltd. signifies the company's proactive deployment in the global market and its firm confidence in long-term development. Taiflex will seize this opportunity to navigate the transformation of the global economic landscape, further enhance product quality and service standards, and create greater value for customers, partners, and shareholders.
