Siemens’ Techcellence Awards Recognizes European Digital Transformation and Sustainability Leaders, Innovators and Community Champions

At Realize LIVE 2024 Europe, held in Munich this week, Siemens Digital Industries Software announced the winners of its Techcellence Awards for Europe. First introduced at Realize LIVE Americas earlier this year, the awards have been developed to recognize companies that are striving for change through transformation and sustainability, as well as individuals who are leading through innovation and acting as a champion for digital technology and sharing their knowledge with the Siemens community in Europe. Winners receive VIP attendance passes for Realize LIVE Global 2025, which will take place in June 2025 in Detroit.
“We introduced the Siemens' Techcellence Awards to celebrate our customers' remarkable contributions to drive digital transformation and sustainability initiatives across the European region. We’re continuing to spotlight individuals who champion the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio, pushing the boundaries of innovation within their organizations,” said Robert Jones, executive vice president, Global Sales and Customer Success, Siemens Digital Industries Software.
The Sustainability Impact award celebrates an organization that demonstrates exceptional commitment to sustainability by leveraging Siemens technologies to drive positive environmental and social impact. It recognizes leaders in decarbonization, energy efficiency, resource management, circularity, as well as those empowering communities and embracing data-driven sustainability insights.
Blendhub aims to make healthy and affordable food and nutrition available to all people in all places. With its food-as-a-service model, Blendhub not only reduces the ecological footprint of food production but also aims to revolutionize the food industry. Its portable micro-factories, powered by digital twin technology, enable local production of nutrient-dense food powders, ensuring freshness and reducing environmental impact and transportation costs. Blendhub, the Sustainability award winner, showcases an unwavering commitment to traceability which guarantees transparency and high-quality standards while minimizing the environmental consequence throughout their production process. Although Blendhub is unable to be here in person, we still want to recognize its remarkable achievements as a deserving winner of the 2024 Techcellence Sustainability impact award.
The Digital Transformation award recognizes the achievement of an organization that is fully integrating digital technologies on their path toward becoming a sustainable digital enterprise. Driving transformation in new and innovative ways for businesses to achieve their digital objectives, while also streamlining processes faster, easier, and at scale. The Community Champion award recognizes an individual who has gone above and beyond by sharing their expertise with Siemens technology. This award honors an individual who helps peers by sharing their knowledge by providing answers, speaking at events and creating publications while championing Siemens products and providing valuable feedback and insight to make the products better. The Siemens community champion exhibits exemplary community leadership through their substantial public contributions.
Blas Molero Hidalgo from IBERISA has demonstrated exceptional commitment to the Siemens Community through his remarkable achievements, expertise and thought leadership. He showcases his expertise in Siemens’ CAE technology through insightful blogs, a YouTube channel and active participation in the Siemens forums - providing over 200 responses to users in 2023 alone. Supporting users at all levels of Simcenter FEMAP and NASTRAN, Blas's blogs and YouTube channel have been invaluable resources for peers. As a long-standing beta tester, he has contributed valuable feedback and insights, shaping Siemens ’products and making a significant impact on the global Siemens Community.
The Innovation Leader award honors Siemens’ customers who exemplify creativity and forward-thinking by driving transformative change within their industries. These trailblazers are generating groundbreaking ideas, products or processes that redefine what is possible. We recognize and celebrate these customers that leverage Siemens technologies and solutions to drive organizational progress.
Johannes Hoelzle of MTU Aero Engines AG has demonstrated exceptional leadership and innovation by applying Siemens technologies and solutions to address specific challenges in his organization and industry. With his visionary approach, Johannes Hoelzle, together with Lutz Seidenfaden CIO of MTU Aero Engines AG, set up the project in a new and agile way and tailored the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) environment to the specific requirements of different roles and disciplines, overcoming the conflict between the IT department's interest in easy maintenance and the users' demand for user-friendly customization. With the successful introduction and adoption of innovative solutions utilizing Siemens technologies such as Mendix, Johannes has achieved measurable results and tangible benefits, including improved user experience, reduced IT maintenance efforts and automated processes.
