We take the pulse of the PCB industry by sharing insights from leading fabricators and suppliers in this month's issue. We've gathered their thoughts on the new U.S. administration, spending, the war in Ukraine, and their most pressing needs. It’s an eye-opening and enlightening look behind the curtain.
The Essential Guide to Surface Finishes
We go back to basics this month with a recount of a little history, and look forward to addressing the many challenges that high density, high frequency, adhesion, SI, and corrosion concerns for harsh environments bring to the fore. We compare and contrast surface finishes by type and application, take a hard look at the many iterations of gold plating, and address palladium as a surface finish.
It's Show Time!
In this month’s issue of PCB007 Magazine we reimagine the possibilities featuring stories all about IPC APEX EXPO 2025—covering what to look forward to, and what you don’t want to miss.

STARTEAM GLOBAL Partners with Confapi Women Entrepreneurs to Plant Trees in Italy
October 23, 2024 | STARTEAM GLOBALEstimated reading time: Less than a minute
In a collaborative effort with the entrepreneurial women of Confapi Brescia, STARTEAM GLOBAL is proud to have planted 20 trees, comprising 10 Ontano (Alnus glutinosa) and 10 Pallon di Maggio (Viburnum), in the Riserva delle Torbiere del Sebino in Iseo, Italy.
Among the plants we’ve selected, the Ontano, stands out despite being the smaller one with an average height of 10 metres. Remarkably, it can capture up to 2,600 kilograms of CO2, significantly aiding our efforts to mitigate climate change. Meanwhile, the Pallon di Maggio shrubs are known for their ‘smog-eating’ capabilities, making them exceptional at improving air quality in urban environments by intercepting heavy metals and reducing atmospheric CO2.
This act reflects our commitment to the local environment and its rich biodiversity, aiming to give back to the natural world that sustains us. Through this gesture, we hope to strike a balance between utilising local resources and taking concrete steps towards a more sustainable future. Our goal is to contribute to preserving our natural heritage through thoughtful actions.
