Intersoft Electronics’ ASR-M® has been nominated for the ‘Product Made in Kempen Award’. The ASR-M® is a modularly designed airport surveillance radar (ASR) that assists in detecting objects under challenging conditions, such as interference from drones, wind turbines, and 5G signals. This technology offers a flexible solution for outdated radar systems, allowing modules to be replaced to extend the lifespan of existing infrastructure without the need for a completely new system.
“We are proud of this nomination for our ASR-M®. Our groundbreaking radar solution is designed to improve airspace control while making it easier to adapt and upgrade legacy radar systems,” says Luc Switten, CEO of the Intersoft Electronics Group. “With its modular design, we offer our customers flexible and sustainable solutions that are essential in the rapidly changing world of aviation technology.”
Intersoft Electronics, headquartered in Olen, has over 40 years of experience in developing radar technology. The engineering company has a strong focus on innovation and quality, and its solutions are used worldwide to keep aviation safe and efficient.
“With this nomination, we not only want to showcase our pride in the ASR-M® but also the hard work of our team,” adds Luc Switten. “Our technology is an example of how local companies can contribute to global air traffic safety.”
Made In aims, with the second edition of this competition, to spotlight local businesses and their products. Twenty companies have been selected from each region. In the first round of voting, the public can decide which products make it to the top five. Voting for ‘Product Made in Kempen’ is open until November 3.
