Hon Hai’s Efforts to Create a Friendlier Workplace Environment Were Recognized by the American Ragan Award

The Ragan CSR & DIVERSITY AWARDS awards were held grandly at the Yale Club in New York a few days ago. Hon Hai Technology Group, the world’s largest technology manufacturer and service provider Participated in the selection with the "Diverse, Fair and Inclusive Disability Service Plan" and stood out from the competition, winning the award in the ESG activity category.
Regarding Hon Hai’s award this time, Ragan AWARDS said: “Hon Hai Technology Group is committed to protecting the basic human rights of employees, especially creating a fair working environment for employees with disabilities. To this end, Hon Hai has developed a comprehensive service plan for employees with disabilities. , including a top-down promotion mechanism, direct participation of senior leaders, and feedback from people with disabilities in the design of service plans. In addition, a cross-department service organization has been established to formulate and implement recruitment, training, and retention of employees with disabilities. Talent strategy to ensure that they receive necessary support and equal training and development opportunities in work and life, and to protect and enhance the rights and interests of employees with disabilities.”
The Ragan Corporate Social Responsibility and Diversity Awards are jointly organized by Ragan Communications and PR Daily. As an authoritative award in the international media and public relations industry, it enjoys a global reputation. Winners in other categories include Ernest & Young LLP, Cisco, Disney World Resort, L 'Oréal, PepsiCo Foundation, Northrop Grumman and other internationally renowned companies. Andrew Olson, a colleague from Wisconsin, USA, attended the award ceremony on behalf of the group.
President Chen Zhenguo of Foxconn University said, "In line with the concept of 'people-oriented, starting from care', in the future the group will deepen its service work for people with disabilities in five main areas: First, provide diversified and international training content and barrier-free courses, encourage The second is to establish a unified disability data standard, covering physical disabilities, cognitive disabilities, sensory disabilities, etc., to promote the progress and development of disability services; the third is to apply AI technology to help people with disabilities better integrate into society , improve the quality of life and explore more possibilities; the fourth is to invite disabled employees to participate in policy design to ensure that the policy is more in line with actual needs and better serves the disabled community; the fifth is to promote the group’s Disability Equality Index (DEI) project, Continue to optimize corporate culture and leadership, corporate accessibility, employment practices, community participation and supplier diversity to help the group build a more diverse, fair and inclusive cultural environment.”
Barrier-free environment is an important part of building a harmonious workplace. Based on the concept of industrial engineering + human factors engineering, Hon Hai is committed to creating a barrier-free and humane working, learning and living environment to enhance employees' work experience, happiness and sense of belonging. . Evaluate and establish hardware standards for barrier-free dormitory construction, and complete the introduction of hardware facilities including bathroom handrails, flashing doorbells, emergency call buttons, and emergency call displays to meet the living needs of employees with disabilities.
At the same time, the group referred to the Disability Equality Index and formulated the "Disability Equality Index Application Guide" to provide specific guidelines for improving the service quality and standards of employees with disabilities and help create the "best workplace". Through coaching, self-evaluation, improvement, practice exchange and continuous optimization, we will promote the implementation and optimization of DEI projects as planned.
