The Taiwan Printed Circuit Association (TPCA) recently concluded its "International PCB Talent Matchmaking Conference" in Bangkok, Thailand, on March 5, 2025. The event aimed to address the growing talent needs of PCB manufacturers expanding into Southeast Asia, particularly Thailand. In response to the industry's rapid growth in the region, TPCA has been actively promoting its "International PCB Talent Training Program" since 2024. This program focuses on cultivating professional talent with essential PCB knowledge through training and employment matching. The matchmaking conference brought together nearly 10 circuit board companies and over 50 student participants from various Thai universities, including King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), Khon Kaen University (KKU), and Suranaree University of Technology (SUT). The event also included representatives from technical schools in Laos, demonstrating TPCA's commitment to supporting talent development across Southeast Asia.
Zhang Yuanming, president of TPCA Thailand Association, emphasized the importance of talent cultivation for industrial development. The matchmaking conference provided a platform for companies and students to connect, facilitating interviews and real-time talent matching. Many companies established preliminary employment intentions with students on the spot, highlighting the effectiveness of the event in promoting employment and industry growth. Furthermore, TPCA organized in-depth exchanges between companies and university teachers to discuss curriculum design and future talent training strategies, ensuring continued industry-academia collaboration.
TPCA views the successful matchmaking conference as a foundation for further development and plans to continue expanding its international talent cultivation efforts. The association aims to work closely with industry and academia to improve the quality of professional talent in the PCB industry, further strengthening Taiwan's position in the global PCB market.
