In a ceremonial event on March 13, 2025, representatives from ASML and Zollner inaugurated the new cleanroom at the Hungarian site in Vác. Among those present were Wayne Allan, Chief Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Officer, and Member of the Board of Management at ASML, Michiel Claessens, , Head of Electronics & Machine Conditioning Sourcing Cluster at ASML, Jozsef Ògl, Managing Director of Zollner in Vác, and Markus Aschenbrenner, Member of the Board of the Zollner Group.
The ISO Class VII certified cleanroom marks an important milestone in the long-standing partnership between ASML and Zollner. It offers optimal conditions for the manufacturing of highly complex series products and combines state-of-the-art cleanroom technology with Zollner’s proven ESD manufacturing standards. This ensures the highest level of quality and process reliability.
At the same time, the new manufacturing area addresses current global challenges: rising cost pressures, the need for stable supply chains, and the increasing demands for technologically sophisticated products.
The entire project – including the comprehensive renovation of the existing building – was completed in a record time of only nine months. By the turn of the year, the first products had already successfully passed the First Article Inspection – a crucial step for the start of series production.
This success once again highlights how Zollner, together with its customers, implements innovative solutions. In Germany as well, Zollner manufactures products for ASML under cleanroom conditions. With the new cleanroom, this collaboration is now being further expanded and elevated to a new level – paving the way for future joint successes.
