Zhen Ding’s Chairman Charles Shen Shares 10 Life Lessons with Graduates

At the 2025 Commencement Ceremony, Yuan Ze University sincerely invites a renowned yet low-profile figure in the PCB industry, Chairman Charles Shen of Zhen Ding Technology Group, as the keynote speaker. Chairman Shen who is a native of Daxi, Taoyuan, has led Zhen Ding since 2005 with a mission to "advance technology to benefit humanity and enhance environmental stewardship to create a better planet." Under his leadership, Zhen Ding has transformed from a company with revenue of NT$3.1 billion into a global leader generating over NT$170 billion annually. The company has held the No. 1 position in the global PCB industry for eight consecutive years, a testament to what is now widely recognized as the “Zhen Ding Legend.” Chairman Shen is widely regarded as one of Taiwan’s most visionary and results-driven business leaders.

In his keynote address titled “To Future Dreamers: Let Passion Be Your Sail, Let Long-Term Thinking Be Your Oar,” Chairman Charles Shen shared a blend of industrial insight and personal reflection. Drawing on vivid storytelling and life experiences, he outlined ten guiding principles—health, lifelong learning, perseverance, integrity, discipline, presence, trend awareness, networking, collaboration, and gratitude. His message conveyed not only managerial wisdom but also a deeply humanistic spirit.

Chairman Shen emphasized that passion and long-term thinking are essential for navigating an ever- evolving world. Quoting Warren Buffett, Charlie Munger, and Kazuo Inamori, he underscored that only a deep love for one’s work can fuel lasting motivation, while long-term thinking transforms time into a powerful ally for sustainable success.

President Ching-Jong Liao of Yuan Ze University grants a Honorary Chair Professor to Chairman Shen. He also praises Chairman Shen for leading by example and inspiring graduates to embrace challenges and interdisciplinary learning. He encouraged the new generation to dream boldly while staying grounded in pragmatic action and present-moment awareness. Chairman Shen’s heartfelt address served as a memorable and uplifting sendoff for the Class of 2024.

Also attending the ceremony were Zhen Ding’s General Manager Dr. Chen-Fu Chien and Chief Human Resources Officer Vivian Yang, reflecting the company’s strong commitment to industry-academia collaboration and talent development.
