Delta Electronics (Thailand) Public Company Limited recently welcomed a delegation of U.S.-based media professionals and representatives from the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) Office in New York on May 14 , 2025, at Delta Plant 5 headquarters in Bangpoo, Thailand, as part of a strategic initiative to highlight the strengths of Thailand’s growing electronics sector.
Organized in collaboration with the BOI’s Investment Services Center and Foreign Investment Marketing Division, the visit aimed to provide American delegates with firsthand insights into Thailand’s strengths in electronics manufacturing, technological innovation, and its appeal as a key destination for foreign investment in one of the country’s top-priority industries.
The delegation was received by Mr. Victor Cheng, CEO of Delta Thailand, and Mr. KK Chong, Head of Sustainable Development of Delta Thailand, who presented an overview of Delta’s operations, including its sustainability-focused mission, strategic vision, and leadership in industrial automation, power electronics, and smart energy solutions. The program featured a guided tour of Delta’s showroom, showcasing comprehensive solutions across its four main business categories:
- Power Electronics (including components, power systems, and thermal management)
- Mobility (such as EV powertrain systems)
- Automation (covering both industrial and building automation)
- Infrastructure (including ICT infrastructure, energy systems, and display solutions)
During the exchange, delegates showed particular interest in Delta’s community development programs. These included the Delta Angel Fund, launched in 2016 in collaboration with the Department of Industrial Promotion (DIPROM), which has supported over 200 Thai startups with funding and mentorship; and the Delta Academy, which has trained thousands of engineering students in automation and power electronics, and helped establish electronics labs at leading educational institutions across Thailand.
The visit offered meaningful insight into Delta’s broad capabilities and its role in advancing innovation and nurturing local talent. It also underscored the company’s long-term dedication to sustainable development integrating cutting-edge technology with social impact to deliver enduring benefits for both society and industry. Delta’s efforts align with Thailand’s broader push to become a hub for high-tech and sustainable industries.
